Recently one of our members commented to our survey question of “what would it take for you to be fully satisfied with the service you receive from MPERS.” The member’s comment was:
To know if on my lunch break, etc, I could call a representative and talk about
whatever I needed to.
Our simple answer is “yes” we are available from 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, including over the lunch hour. Our phones will be answered during those times, except for times when we are having staff meetings. During those meetings, you should leave us a message and one of our staff will return your call before the end of that day.
We should point out that we are a small organization and staffing can be limited at times due to lunch, business travel, vacations, sick leave, etc. If, during those times, our call volume is high we may be unable to immediately take your call. Here again, if you leave a message, someone from our staff will get back with you as soon as possible.
Another option to consider for questions or matters that are not urgent is to consider emailing us at mpers@mpers.org. Email allows us to respond to questions with links or attachments that you may place in your files to keep for future reference.
